【淮安嘉洋國(guó)際學(xué)校國(guó)旗下講話】仁愛(ài)：家庭和社區(qū) Benevolence, Family, and Community

　　各位嘉洋國(guó)際學(xué)校大家庭的兄弟姐妹們，大家上午好！Good morning !

　　Brothers and sisters in the Joy International School !

　　今天，我們想問(wèn)你一個(gè)問(wèn)題:在你的生活中，好的品格價(jià)值的根源是什么?換句話說(shuō)，我們?nèi)绾尾拍軗碛腥蕫?ài)、培養(yǎng)正直、持守信念、走上卓越之路?

　　This morning, we want to ask you some questions: What is the root of good character value in your life? How do you become benevolent, how do you develop integrity, how do you learn to have faith, and how do you set out on the path to excellence?

　　最基本的答案就是:家庭。我們內(nèi)心深處受父親、母親和兄弟姐妹的影響最大。正是通過(guò)我們的父親、母親和兄弟姐妹，我們大部分價(jià)值觀和性格特征成形了。

　　The most fundamental answer is: family. The deepest parts of ourselves are most influenced by our father, our mother, and our siblings.

　　We develop the strongest values and character traits through our father, mother, siblings.

　　仁愛(ài)是一種看待他人的方式。這是你父母看待你的方式，也是你應(yīng)該看待父母的方式。看問(wèn)題的方式是說(shuō):“我是你的一部分，你也是我的一部分。”它還說(shuō):“你做的每件事都影響著我，我做的每件事都影響著你。”這是一種責(zé)任，它要求我們有愛(ài)他人之心。如果你的家庭有很強(qiáng)的愛(ài)心，那么你也會(huì)對(duì)家庭以外的人有很強(qiáng)的愛(ài)心。

　　Benevolence is a way of treating other people. It is the way your parents treat you, and it is also the way you treat your parents. The way of treating is to say “I am a part of you, and you are a part of me.” It also says “Everything you do will affect me, and everything I do will affect you.” There is a responsibility in that which requires us to have benevolence and love. If there is strong benevolence in your family, and then you will have stronger benevolence to others outside of your family, too.

　　當(dāng)你來(lái)到嘉洋國(guó)際學(xué)校時(shí)，我們希望對(duì)你能像你的母親和父親那樣充滿愛(ài)。我們想讓你們覺(jué)得你們?cè)谶@里有一個(gè)安全的家。你的老師看你的方式和你的父母看你的方式一樣。你應(yīng)該把你的同學(xué)看作你的兄弟姐妹。

　　When you come to Joy International School, we want to treat you with the same benevolence , just like your mother and father treat you. We want you to feel that you have a home here that is safe and secure. Your teachers will treat you in the same way that your parents treat you. You should treat your classmates as your siblings.

　　有時(shí)候家人之間會(huì)有沖突，這沒(méi)什么大不了的。兄弟姐妹之間也并不總是和睦相處。盡管如此，家人之間總是有一種永遠(yuǎn)不會(huì)消失的深厚紐帶。它來(lái)自于一種理解，即我們擁有共同的起源，這種起源和信任將永遠(yuǎn)存于或美好、或不幸的年代。有時(shí)關(guān)系可能會(huì)充滿張力和壓力，但家庭關(guān)系是人類生活中最牢固的。

　　Sometimes families may have conflict, but that is okay.

　　Brothers and sisters do not always get along with one another. Nonetheless, there is always a deep bond that never goes away. It comes from an understanding that we share an origin, also the origin and trust will always remain throughout good times and bad times.

　　Sometimes the relationship may be strained and difficult, but the relationships in the family are the strongest in the life.

　　我們也希望像你的家人一樣，幫助和推動(dòng)你成長(zhǎng)。你的父母對(duì)你的生活有很高的期望。我們也一樣。有時(shí)候推搡和成長(zhǎng)是痛苦的，但沒(méi)關(guān)系，因?yàn)樗巧钪斜夭豢缮俚囊徊糠帧Ｎ覀儾粦?yīng)該逃避痛苦或困難，因?yàn)檎峭纯嗪屠щy使我們今后的生命越來(lái)越強(qiáng)大和美好。然而，成長(zhǎng)的痛苦和困難正是我們需要仁愛(ài)的原因。這就是為什么擁有一個(gè)充滿安全、支持和教養(yǎng)的家庭環(huán)境是如此重要！

　　We also hope to push you and help you grow in the same way that your family does. Your parents have high expectations for your life. So do we. Sometimes pushing and growing up is painful, but that is okay. It is a necessary part of life. We should not avoid pain or difficulty, because they will make us stronger and better in the future. However, the pain and difficulty of growing up is exactly why we need to have benevolence and love. That is the reason it is so important to have a family environment that is full of safety, support, and nurture.

　　我們擁有的仁慈和愛(ài)越多，我們就越能推動(dòng)自己成長(zhǎng)。這就是我們?cè)诩窝髧?guó)際學(xué)校建造的文化。這周，你應(yīng)該告訴你的同學(xué)“我是你的一部分，你也是我的一部分。”你還應(yīng)該說(shuō)“你做的事影響我，我做的事影響你。”認(rèn)識(shí)到這一點(diǎn)有助于增強(qiáng)我們的責(zé)任感，并引導(dǎo)我們邁入一個(gè)充滿仁愛(ài)的校園文化。

　　The more benevolence and love we have, the stronger we can push ourselves to grow. This is the culture we are building at Joy International School.

　　This week, you can tell your classmates “I am a part of you, and you are a part of me.” You can also say “What you do will affect me, and what I do will affect you.”

　　Recognizing this will help us strengthen our responsibility and lead us to study in a benevolent school.
